Take care of your eyelgasses

Consequently, wearing contact lenses is not only a trend but also a convenient lifestyle. However, contact lenses, after all, are not something you are supposed to wear for a long time, and you need to pay extra attention to a lot of things. So, we should take care ; especially when you are having a cold you are not supposed to wear them.

When having a cold, people wearing contact lenses will feel the eyes easy to weep and the eyes will become inflammation. Flu virus may cause ocular diseases such as viral keratitis. Because when you are having cold and keeping sniffing and sneezing, you will use your hands to touch them. Bacteria easily get their way into the eyes and pollute the cornea when people take on or take off the lenses with bacteria-studded hands.

There is also unsuitable to wear contact lenses when one is having a fever. During the fever, the resistance of eyes will decline, and tear secretion will reduce,therefore the bacteria will multiply. The result of eye metabolites will deposit between the cornea and the lenses, so that the oxygen permeability of the contact lenses decrease which leads to eye disease.

Oculists remind that people who wear contact lenses should wear frame glasses instead of contact lenses when they have a cold or fever. In addition, even if you are wearing your contact lenses, you should be very careful when you choose your medicine. That is because many anti-cold pills, cough-kiilers, or pain-killers contain ingredients which suppress tears. The decrease of tear secretion will make the contact lenses too dry, reduce transparency, thereby affecting vision. The cornea itself is easy to become dry, artificially reducing the moist level of the cornea will lead to keratitis, conjunctivitis and other inflammatory, which make the eyes red, itching and having a feeling of foreign body.
