Cataracts can cause severe visual impairment and even blindness, and they often arise due to the aging process. The eyes cloud up due to the cataract and cause the person’s vision to degrade as the eyes become more clouded. The good news is that there are procedures that can help with this.

There are many elderly people driving on the roads today in their own car. If they do not have routine visits with an eye doctor then they may have clouding of their vision. Seniors often are misdiagnosed with problems like osteoporosis or other things when all they needed was their eyes checked and their cataracts to be fixed by replacing the lenses in their eyes. Elderly people fall down often and break bones. They risk themselves and others when they drive on the highway without being able to see. There is a fix for cataracts. Seniors should make an eye doctor visit a habit.
